Timing Is Everything

A great time for air conditioning installation is spring. Your unit is up and running before the Southeast’s famous heat and humidity soar.

HVAC Customer Support
Bigger Is Not Always Better

The ceiling height, square footage, amount of sunlight, and overall design are factors in installing the right air conditioning for you. A certified technician should provide you with recommendations after carefully considering your layout and your budget.

Since you chose an expert for the air conditioning installation, take the opportunity to learn from your technician. Many homeowners have questions about safety concerns, signs a repair is needed, and ways to save money while you operate your unit. Technicians are also a great source for programmable thermostat recommendations. Your unit won’t need to operate quite as hard when you’re not home or sleeping.

Heating & Air Conditioning Maintenance

You don’t have to work long in the HVAC business to learn that homeowners hate surprise repairs or, worse, replacements for their heating and cooling system . At Morelli Heating & Air Conditioning, we know how frustrating these HVAC surprises can be – and we know that regular preventative maintenance is the best way to avoid repairs and replacement due to wear and tear or small issues that grow into larger ones.

But not all homeowners have the time or the know-how for quality preventative maintenance. That’s why we created the Morelli preventative maintenance program – a preventative maintenance and discounted service subscription, and our way to ensure you’re prepared for the hot and humid summers of South Carolina and for the winter season. Preventative maintenance in the spring and fall reduces any surprises when you need your heating and cooling system the most.

The cost of a maintenance agreement is dependent on the number of systems in your home and the contract terms. The typical agreement is for two visits, one heating and one cooling, per home. It’s also common for customers to sign up for a one year plan and renew with us yearly.

You’ll see us in the spring to tune up your cooling system and the fall to check on your heating system. Our friendly office coordinators will help you set up a visit at the most convenient time for you. We promise to be respectful in your home or business. What else would you expect from a company who abides by the golden rule?

Our preventative maintenance program does not discriminate based on your system, either. Though we’re a Factory Authorized Dealer of the Carrier line at Morelli, we service all makes and models. In fact, our NATE certified technicians go through rigorous training to ensure their knowledge base is broad for all types of equipment.

In the fall, we’ll check on your heating unit.

Our Benefits Cover Labor and Include Part Discounts

The labor for the twice-yearly preventative maintenance visits is 100% covered if you’re a member of our preventative maintenance program. In addition, any additional parts or materials required to correct defects or to address wear are offered to you at a 10% discount. In fact, we’ll extend this 10% discount to you if you need extra service calls beyond the preset maintenance agreement terms.

Our Benefits Bump You to the Front of the Line

You’re already getting a great price on labor and materials all year round. With the Morelli preventative maintenance program, you can also say goodbye to scheduling hassles and securing appointments during the peak of the summer or winter season. Twice a year you will receive reminders to call and book your Spring and Fall appointments. If you do call us between maintenance visits, preventative maintenance program members get bumped to the top of our priority list.

No Fine Print, Just Clear Benefits

One of our office administrators will coordinate your preventative maintenance program paperwork. We don’t believe in fine print, so we’ll explain all the details of your contract terms, what’s included, what’s offered at a discount, and your total cost. Plans are flexible for the number of units in your home.

Frequently asked questions

Answers to your Common Heating & Air Conditioning Installation Questions

  • How much does it cost to install a new heating and air conditioning system?
The cost of a new HVAC installation depends on system size, efficiency rating, and any upgrades needed for ductwork or electrical components. Higher-efficiency systems typically cost more upfront but can lower monthly energy bills. A professional evaluation helps determine accurate pricing for your home.
  • How long does a heating and air conditioning installation take?
Most heating and air conditioning installations are completed within one to two days. Installation time can vary based on system type, home size, and whether ductwork modifications are required. Your technician will provide a clear timeline after evaluating your home and equipment needs.
  • What is the $5000 rule for AC?
The $5,000 rule helps decide whether to repair or replace an air conditioner. Multiply the system’s age by the repair cost. If the total exceeds $5,000, replacement is often the smarter financial choice. This rule helps homeowners avoid investing heavily in aging, inefficient equipment.
  • What is the 3 minute rule for AC?
The 3-minute rule refers to how quickly an air conditioner should begin cooling after turning on. If cool air doesn’t start flowing within a few minutes, it may indicate issues with airflow, refrigerant, or system performance. Delayed cooling often signals the need for professional inspection.
  • Is Carrier a good brand of air conditioning unit?
Yes, Carrier is considered a reliable and well-established air conditioning brand. Their systems are known for energy efficiency, consistent performance, and advanced technology options. Many homeowners choose Carrier units for their durability and long lifespan. Proper installation and regular maintenance help ensure a Carrier air conditioner performs efficiently over time.
