EFFICIENCY
Gas Furnaces are rated by Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency, or AFUE. The higher the rating, the more efficient the system. 58STA/58STX furnaces have a rating fo 80% AFUE.
RELIABILITY
Carrier has one of the most extensive product research and development facilities in the world. Carrier engineers test the reliability of the heat exchangers to over 200,000 cycles, sic times the industry’s standard of 30,000 cycles.
SAFETY
The Power Heat hot surface ignition system eliminates the need for a pilot light, reducing gas usage and promoting worry-free operation. The blocked vent safeguard shuts down furnace operation if common exhaust vents become inadvertently blocked. The electronic control board constantly monitors the safety devices during heating operation. If a safety device activates for any reason, a status code will be displayed on the furnace control board, alerting you to any potential problems.
SOUND
The QuieTech noise reduction system helps to isolate sound levels at the source. The 58STA/58STX furnace puts out around 60 dBA of sound, which is quieter than conversation.
